The Escambia County Schools, in compliance with the No Child Left Behind legislation, conduct the PRIDE SURVEYS.This is an anonymous student survey about alcohol and drug use and violence.  The survey information assists us in assessing our school climate and culture. The Pride Surveys were used by schools in more than 8,000 school systems across the nation over the past two decades. The Pride Survey is an anonymous survey, and it is administered to all students in grades 6-12 during the month of May each school year.

Results of the Pride Survey are used in planning and implementing various at-risk programs in our county. The data collected allows us to compare trends of drug, alcohol and tobacco use as well as look at violence indicators. Many state, local and community organizations use this data to expand their services to at-risk children and their families in Escambia County.
