Shirley Prescod is a devoted Early Childhood Educator with over 21 years of experience serving children and families. Anchored in the belief that “my assignment is tied to someone’s destiny,” she views teaching as a calling and a lifelong ministry of service, care, and excellence.
Her educational journey began in the church as a Sunday School teacher and grew through more than 14 years with Head Start. She has served in various roles including Special Education Aide, Reading Interventionist, and currently as a Pre-K Teacher. Shirley is passionate about early literacy, inclusive practices, and building nurturing classroom environments that support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Recognized as Teacher of the Year, Shirley is a trusted leader and a valued asset at A. C. Moore Primary School, where her dedication, compassion, and commitment continue to positively impact students, families, and the school community.
